How did Owain Glyn Dwr fight against the French?
In 1405 Owain Glyn Dwr entered a three-way pact with the two leading English rebels, Edmund Mortimer and the Earl of Northumberland. A French invasion force landed at Milford Haven in Pembrokeshire and advanced almost to Worcester. Another French army invaded Aquitaine, one of the few remaining English footholds on the continent.

When did Conwy Castle fall to Owain Glyn Dwr?​

A few months later (June), Owain defeated a force on Pumlumon (ref.8) It was on Good Friday, in 1401, when the castle was garrisoned by some 75 Welshmen in the pay of the English crown, that Conwy fell to a group claiming allegiance to Owain Glyn Dwr.

What happened to Glyndwr?​

There had been great loss of life, an economic blockade and a weakening of commerce. Politically, too, the Welsh were knocked back where they had been making progress. It would be 150 years until the Welsh were allowed to become more prominent in society. But Glyndwr was not being forgotten in the misery.
Did prince Owain become a man of law?
It is thought that his father died sometime before Owain was 11 years old, and the young prince was fostered to the household of Sir David Hanmer, an Anglo-Welsh judge. Owain followed Hanmer’s profession, by going to study Law at the Inns Of Court, but didn’t become a ‘man of law’.
