Is calculus 3 the same as vector calculus?​

Calc 3 = multivariable calculus = vector analysis. A semester mostly working on partial derivatives, surface integrals, stuff like that.

Is there such thing as calculus 3?​

Calculus 3, also called Multivariable Calculus or Multivariate expands upon your knowledge of single-variable calculus and applies it to the 3D world. In other words, we will be exploring functions of two variables which are described in the three-dimensional coordinate systems.
Is vector calculus part of calculus?
The term “vector calculus” is sometimes used as a synonym for the broader subject of multivariable calculus, which spans vector calculus as well as partial differentiation and multiple integration. Vector calculus plays an important role in differential geometry and in the study of partial differential equations.
What does calculus 3 include?
The course includes parametric equations, polar coordinates, vectors, sequences, series, and Taylor expansions. It also introduces multivariable calculus, including partial derivatives, double integrals, and triple integrals. Compute and interpret partial derivatives of functions of several variables.

What is Calc 4 called?​

Vector calculus is sometimes referred to as Calc 4, since it uses many ideas usually taught in Calc III, like vector valued functions, and double/triple integrals. But there usually isn’t one because by the time you finish Calc III, you have the knowledge to branch off into lots of areas.
Is there a calculus 5?
Calculus 5. Also known as Real Analysis. A proof heavy course on why the Calculus works. This course explains the structure of the Real Line and will teach you why the Extreme Value Theory, Rolles Theory, and the Intermediate Value Theory all work.
Is Calc 3 harder than differential equations?
It’s not a matter of one being more difficult than the other- Topics from Calculus III are used in Differential equations (partial derivatives, exact differentials, etc.). Calculus III can be taken at the same time, but that is harder. Calculus III should be a prerequisite for Differential Equations.
