Is a Staffordshire Bull Terrier considered a pitbull?​

The American Staffordshire Terrier and the American Pitbull Terrier, are both considered Pitbull type dogs, or “bully breeds.” As such, you’ll soon learn that there are a number of similarities between them. American Staffordshire Terriers are slightly shorter but much stockier in weight.
Are Bull Terriers the same as pit bulls?
Pit Bull is a description for a type of dog, but American Pit Bull Terriers are a breed. Other breeds that rightfully fall under the term “Pit Bull” include the American Staffordshire Terrier, the American bulldog, and the Staffordshire Bull Terrier.
